Morning Announcements Friday 8/29/14

* Congratulations to the lady Panther volleyball team. The JV and Varsity both defeated Fairdale last night. Great job ladies.

* The boys Varsity Soccer team fell 1-0 to Iroquois. The JV team won 3-1. Great job Guys!

* There will be no soccer practice this weekend. "

* Want to help organize and create events for our school and community? Join the Student Council! A Student Council interest meeting will be on Wednesday Sept. 3 in room 211 from 2:30-2:45. Our first meeting will be Wednesday Sept. 10 from 2:30-3:00 in room 211. See Mrs. Martin or Ms. Keighley for more information.

* Any senior interested in WKU Leadership & Volunteerism Conference on Sept 12 should see Mrs. Wilson before Sept 5.  The deadline to register is Sept 5.  Registration fee is $30. 

* Strength and conditioning will start for the 2014-2015 PRP Wrestling team on Monday September 8th!!. If you are interested in joining the team and or have any questions regarding wrestling. We will meet in the wrestling room located towards the back of the tech building at 3:00 pm Monday September 8th. Please bring a change of clothes to workout in, and a pair of running shoes.

* Seniors, Mrs. Wilson will start senior info class visits on August 28-Sept 10. Meetings will be in your senior English class.  If you do not have a senior English class, you will be given an alternate time and date to meet with Mrs. Wilson. Remember to take a look at the "Getting In" booklet that you received at registration for important information regarding applications, scholarships and college.

* The theme for Friday's home football game against Valley is Frozen.  We will be having a White Out in honor of our Football team playing for the Snowman against Valley.  Come decked out in all white or come dressed as your favorite character from Frozen!  Join the Black Hole at 6:45 p.m. on Friday in the Student Section to get ready for the big game!

* Senior Information Night will be Tuesday, Sept 23rd at PRP at 6:30. Colleges will be on hand to answer questions.  Bring your parents for this important night!!

* There will be a Young Politican of America (YPA) meeting after school in room 306. New members are welcome. Please stop by and see Mrs. Findley if unable to attend.

* Need a job?  A local daycare is looking for 4-5 young ladies to work after school.  Please see Mrs. Wilson for details.

* Any girl wanting to play baskeball needs to pickup a physical packet from Coach Meadows (room 110) or coach Cathey  (room221). Conditioning will start Sept 3rd and you must have a physical and completed packet before you can participate.

* Students interested in trying out for the 2014-15 Bowling team should be sure that they have picked up physical and form packets from Coach Nichelson's door, Room 116.  These packets have additional forms that are not in the physical packets available in the office.  All physicals and forms must be complete and ready to submit at the mandatory parent's meeting on September 25, 6:30 PM in the PRP Cafeteria.

* Mr. Braun is currently taking deposits for the Senior Trip to Cedar Point.  $100 is due to him by September 5.  Please come before or after school.

* Wizard of Oz Audition Sign Ups are posted on Mr. Braun's door (room 201).  Please sign up for a time and be sure to write the time down so you remember when to show up for your audition. See Mr. Braun if you have any questions.

These packets have additional forms that are not in the physical packets available in the office. Morning Announcements - Wednesday, 8/27/14

* Congratulations to the Lady Panther Volleyball Team. The freshman, JV and varsity teams defeated Fern Creek last night here at PRP. Great job lady Panthers. The JV and Varsity will play Southern at Southern tonight starting at 5:30. 

* Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will meet each Friday morning at 7:25. We are moving to Room 324 (Mr. Lightle's room) to accomodate the number of students attending. You do not have to be an athlete to attend. Come check us out. Donuts and juice are provided. 

* The boys soccer team picked up another victory last night as they defeated Fairdale 6-3. It was a tough and physical match, but our boys kept their heads and put together good offensive showing. Goal scorers were Darren Hodge, Saiid Abdullahi, Mani Bakari with 2 goals, and Parker Shouse with 2 goals. The boys will be back in action against Iroquois on Thursday at PRP.

And boys, practice will be ending early at 5 pm today.

* Congratulations to the lady Panther Volleyball team. They opened the season yesterday by defeating J-town. The freshman won 21-7,21-8. JV won 21-14,21-18.  and the varsity won 25-23, 25-21. Great job ladies. Key players of the game were Ariel Findley with her strong hits, Kyler Hack and her serves, Lily Wilkins with her play at the net and Katie Hack running  the team setting. Great Job Ladies! Their next game will be tomorrow at Holy Cross. Come out and cheer them on!

* The new design black football T-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants will go on sale Thursday and Friday during all 3 lunches in the front lobby. We want everyone to wear them to Friday's first home game vs. Doss to support our team. Football players are reminded to tell your families. Don't miss out, they won't last long... 4. If you are interested in joining the cast or crew of The Wizard of Oz, please plan on staying after on August 26 for an informational meeting. Meeting will be held in the Auditorium.

7. Congratulations to the boys golf team who defeated North Bullitt and Seneca last night at Heritage Hill Golf Course. It was a total team effort. Great Job.

1. Students reminder of our dress code policy. We are very lucky to not have uniforms here so obey the dress code or you will leave us no choice. No tank Tops! No bare midrifts! No cell phones or headphones in the halls except for lunch!

2. Students are not allowed to be on the 2nd and 3rd floor during lunch. Please stay in either the cafe, old gym, main hallway or the library if you have a note.

3. The courtyard will be closed until further notice. Do not go to the courtyard until the project is finished. Adjust your route to get to class!

4. Sophomores can contribute to this years homecoming float by donating candy. Please bring bags of cand to Mrs. Barnett in room 332.

5. Class of 2017 is calling out all of those who complained about last year's t-shirt design! We want your designs! We are having a design contest and you have until October 1st to submit your designs to Mrs. Barnett in room 332. See Mrs. Barnett for any additional information.

1. Coach Mabrey will be selling the gray " Panther Elite Nation" and the black "Panther Girls" T-shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants Tuesday during all 3 lunches in the front lobby. All sizes will be available. Make sure to Bring your Money Tuesday, They will not last long! Prices are: t-shirts $12; Hoddies  $24; Sweatpants $20 (Add $2 for 2x and 3x).

2. Schedule change request forms are available today in the counseling office. Counselors will complete schedule changes for these reasons: to balance class sizes; classes already taken and passed; and to take a class needed to graduate.

3. Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team who defeated Bullitt Central HS last night at Sun Valley Golf  Course by 10 strokes! The boys were lead by Chase Hall and Beau Brown.

4. Dance team auditions will be this Saturday, August 16th from 10-2 in the dance studio. There is a tryout fee of $5 and each person must have an athletic physical to try out.
