Just a quick reminder that Gene Weiss, KHEAA Outreach Counselor will be at PRP HS to help students/families with FAFSA.gov on Thursday evening (15th). I will arrive by 5:45pm, give or take, and planned to stay until 7:30pm, or as long as is needed that evening. As a ‘College Goal KY’ event, we will need to record names, and have attending families complete a survey when finished, but, by their attendance, they will also be eligible for one of the four $500 scholarships that will be offered to persons participating in these ‘College Goal KY’ events. Remember, the State Grant funding (both the State C.A.P. grant, and the State K.T.G. grant for students attending a private college in Kentucky) will likely be depleted around February 1st. ALL students who are “free-reduced” lunch WILL be eligible for either or both of those State grants to attend schools in Kentucky. Nearly every senior in the class may be eligible for the State K.T.G. grant, if they are considering a ‘private,’ in-state college!
