PRP boys bowlers defeated Moore 4-3 highlighted by a perfect 300 game shot by junior Michael Reed. Other games over 200: Denver Wilson (223) and Clayton Cox and Cameron Muss combined efforts for a 217 game. Our JV girls defeated Moore 7-0 led by Abby Bauer with a 235. Next up our girls varsity and JV face Mercy on Wednesday

PRP Bowling had a huge win over Bullitt East yesterday at Kingpin. The girls extend their record to 3-0 by winning 6-1. The boys extend their record to 4-1 by winning 7-0. The following bowlers shot games of 200 or better: Terry Brown 200 Brandon Gowan 213 & 236 Denver Wilson 247 & 259 Cameron Muss 200 Matt Taylor 236 Clayton Cox 245 Ben VonAllmen 210 & 237 Both boys and girls teams will compete in the St X Kick Off tournament tomorrow at Fern Valley Strike & Spare at 1 PM. Admission $3 for spectators over the age of 6.

PRP Boys Bowling team finished 4th and our girls finished 1st in the West Jessamine Colt Classic Tournament in Danville Saturday. Games over 200 were: Ciarra Jarboe 204, Morgan Rush 212, Ta'Shayla Dunnaway 225, Clinton Cox 212, and Denver Wilson 266, 246, and 243. Congratulations to Ciarra Jarboe and Denver Wilson for being names to the All Tournament Team. Next up, the Varsity and JV Boys face Butler at Kenbowl on Thursday November 12 at 4 PM, and both Boys and Girls are entered in the St X Kick Off Tournament Saturday, November 14 at Fern Valley Strike & Spare at noon.

Glasses for Haiti! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be sponsoring a used glasses drive for Haiti starting next week. It will run for 2 weeks from Nov 9th until Nov 20th. The first period that collects the most pairs of glasses before Nov. 20th will win a free breakfast on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break (Nov 24th). Any type of glasses can help. Reading Glasses, old prescription glasses, sun glasses, bi-focals, etc.. People in Haiti who need glasses do not have the ability purchase them, because they simply are not available. So students, please bring in any old pair of glasses that you or your family no longer use. Thanks!

PRP Bowlers started the regular season with matches against Fern Creek yesterday at Dixie Bowl. Our Varsity boys fell short against an experienced Tigers team, 4-3. Our JV boys and girls team both swept their matches 7-0. The following bowlers had games over 200: Morgan Rush 202, Kayla Payne 206 and 227, Clinton Cox 230, Cameron Muss 245, Terry Brown 241, Michael Reed 202 and 221, Denver Wilson 243, Ben VonAllmen 204, and Matthew Taylor 267. Attention, sophomores and juniors who are interested in auditioning for the 2016 Governor's School for the Arts Summer Program. Registration will open, on-line, on October 1st. The website is www.kentuckygsa.org. Governor's School for the Arts is a three week summer program of intense instruction in nine different art disciplines. The art programs include creative writing, dance, drama, instrumental music, musical theater, new media, visual art, vocal music and architecture. A one day workshop will be offered to students in order to gain a better understanding of the audition process. This workshop is on November 21st at Louisville Collegiate School. Acceptance to the workshop is based on a first-come, first-served policy. Students must register at www.kentuckygsa.org. The registration for the summer program, as well as the Fall Artshop opens on October 1st. Students must register for the summer program before Dec. 31st. Students, if you have questions, please see Mrs. Wilhoit in E1, after school.

PRP PTSA Chili Supper with the parade on Thursday! 5:00-7:00pm. Free to all students. $5 to general public. Chili, hot dog, drink and dessert.
Human trafficking, also known as modern day slavery, is a growing problem in today’s world. Right now there are over 27 million people trapped in slavery around the world. There are more slaves now than there have ever been at any point in history. It even happens here in Louisville. If you’d like to join in the fight, and help raise awareness that slavery still exists, then sign up for the Walk For Freedom on Oct. 17th. The Junior class is looking for a back up trailer, and a nearby location to decorate the homecoming float. If you have space to park a trailer at your house and don't mind a a group of people working on it for about two weeks, please contact Mrs. Thomas or Mrs. Barnett.
Mandatory Parent's meeting for bowlers on Wednesday, September 16 beginning at 5:00 PM through 8 PM at Dixie Bowl. All Physical and Permission forms are due at this meeting as is the $40 insurance fee. Coaching staff will be there for the 3 hours to collect forms and answer questions about the season.

Sophomores may pick up student ID's during lunch in the hallway by the elevator on Wednesday. Freshman ID's will be given out during lunch on Thursday. On Friday we will be there during lunch to give out remaining ID's. These ID's are only for those who completed registration before school started.
BETA Club will be meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Seminar room of the tech building. All current and new members need to plan to attend. Your outfit could be something formal, casual, sporty, business, or just for fun! 13 guys and 13 girls will be chosen and featured in the 2016 PRP Calendar. Grand Champions will be featured on the front cover of the calendar. Other winners will be given a month and will participate in a photo shoot before the calendar goes to print! Judges aren't looking for perfection, they are looking for style, poise and personality. There is a $20 entry fee to enter the contest. Mini League Conditioning begins this Wednesday 8/26 at Dixie Bowl. Students planning to bowl should be there ready to start by 3 PM. Cost is $6 for 2 games and shoe rental if needed. This mini league will run on Wednesdays until September 30.

Your outfit could be something formal, casual, sporty, business, or just for fun! 13 guys and 13 girls will be chosen and featured in the 2016 PRP Calendar. Grand Champions will be featured on the front cover of the calendar. Other winners will be given a month and will participate in a photo shoot before the calendar goes to print! Judges aren't looking for perfection, they are looking for style, poise and personality. There is a $20 entry fee to enter the contest. Entry Forms can be picked up in the front office or in the Student Service Center.

There will be a meeting of all students who plan to try out for the bowling teams WEDNESDAY right after school in room 116. It is critical that anyone who is interested be at that meeting to get the needed information and requirements to participate. The meeting should last no more than 30 minutes. Also, a conditioning mini league begins on Wednesday August 26 at Dixie Bowl at 3 PM. Cost is $6 each week to pay for bowling lineage cost and shoe rental if needed. The mini league will run every Wednesday 9/30. The season officially begins on October 1.
