Announcements 11/9/15

Attention Seniors!!! Starting October 1st, in counseling office, I will have sign up sheets for college trips. Students can sign up for no more than 2 college trips. If we have too many students and not enough bus seats, only students who have met admission criteria or close to meeting criteria will be allowed to attend. October 20th- WKU October 27th- Morehead November 5th- I.U.S. November 10th- U of K November 12th- EKU November 17th- Carpenters/Plumbing/Pipefitting Training Center"
Class of 2018 - Class shirts are still available for purchase. The cost is $15 and you can get them in room 217 (Mrs. Danzinger). All sizes are still available (smalls and mediums are limited).
Vogt Achievement Scholarship- Scholarship winners will receive a one-time award of $10,000 to be used for tuition, books, and academic fees at any accredited four-year undergraduate program that leads to a BA/BS degree. Qualified applicants include any high school senior attending a JCPS High School who has: • Demonstrated leadership in school, extra-curricular and community activities • A cumulative (weighted) GPA of 3.2 or higher • An ACT score of 25 or higher, or an SAT of 1150 or higher • Completed and/or enrolled Advanced Placement or equivalent college-level curriculum To Apply: Go to JCPS website → Click on Students→ High School→ Life after High School→ Vogt Scholarship Online Application To apply for the Vogt Scholarship Click “Create New Account” After you have created your new account, you will be able to save and revisit your application. The deadline to submit applications and recommendations is December 3rd at 4:30 p.m.
Disappointing News!!! U of K is under construction and is very limited on space. They have asked for me to narrow our list down to only 45 students. Please check to see if your name is on the list in the counseling office.
PRP Boys Bowling team finished 4th and our girls finished 1st in the West Jessamine Colt Classic Tournament in Danville Saturday. Games over 200 were: Ciarra Jarboe 204, Morgan Rush 212, Ta'Shayla Dunnaway 225, Clinton Cox 212, and Denver Wilson 266, 246, and 243. Congratulations to Ciarra Jarboe and Denver Wilson for being names to the All Tournament Team. Next up, the Varsity and JV Boys face Butler at Kenbowl on Thursday November 12 at 4 PM, and both Boys and Girls are entered in the St X Kick Off Tournament Saturday, November 14 at Fern Valley Strike & Spare at noon.
