All cars need to be moved from the front parking lot next to Greenwood Road by 3pm Daily for Marching Band Practice. We appreciate everyone's cooperation!

Members of PRP's Black Team are Gavan VanOver, Gabriel Tilly, Kaitlyn Sutton, Brandon Eugene and Raymond Krause. The team would like to thank Brooklyn Burnett and Hailie Cannon for their help as they assisted with the computer layout and design portion of the competition. PRP's Team Red also competed well. The competition was held on October 18th at G.E.

Congratulations to PRP's JV Quick Recall Team on starting the year with wins over Fairdale and Butler. PRP defeated Fairdale 18-9, 16-12. PRP defeated Butler 21-7, 21-9. PRP's record is 2-0.

Those students who have signed up and returned their permission slips to go on the Morehead State University fieldtrip should attend a meeting on Monday 10/16 during 7th period in the cafeteria. Free applications will be available and we will talk about transcripts and ACT scores during the meeting.
The Step Team will be holding a 2nd tryout on October 16th and 17th.

With teachers permission there will be a meeting for all boys in grades 9-12 that are interested in playing basketball this year. The meeting will ne in the cafeteria today at 1:55pm. We will discuss tryouts, physical packets and fees. We need more players, we will see you Thursday.
The Boys Soccer team defeated Butler 4 to 3 Wednesday night to finish the regular season with a record of 14-2-2. It was a total team effort with lost of great defending, and a lot of heart and passion from our guys. Goal Scorers were Brandon Hardest, Cameron Jones, Logan Riedley, and Saladi Husseini. The next Game will be in the District tournament next Thursday at PRP. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us against Butler. Please bring that energy to the district next week!

Sign ups for College visits will be Sept. 18th-Oct. 13th. Seniors can sign up in room 112. You must have a cumulative 2.0 gpa and no major discipline referrals this school year to be eligible for these college visits. There are 36 spots per bus. 1 bus will be taken on most visits. Seniors can sign up for no more than 2 visits. Dates for visits- Morehead State University- Oct. 23, JCTC- Oct. 26, IUS- Nov. 1, EKU- Nov. 6, WKU- Nov. 8, Plumbers/Pipefitters- Nov. 15, UK- TBD.
Students please watch your speed while driving on campus and the streets surrounding PRP (Yucca and Feyhurst). Also, driving behind the tech building is now off limits, the gates behind the tech building (by the baseball field) will be locked from now on.
All cars need to be moved from the front parking lot next to Greenwood Road by 3pm Daily for Marching Band Practice. We appreciate everyone's cooperation!
Underclassmen Picture Day will be October 4, 2017. Pictures will be taken during the students English class. More information about purchasing photos will be sent home closer to the date. See Mr. Braun in room 104 with any questions.

Announcements 10/3/17

Higher Purpose Group's next meeting is October 12th at 2:30 in T111.
Best Buddies with have our mixer this Thursday 10/5 during 7th period in the old gym. This is for those members who submitted their application and are in the system. Any question please see Ms. Lydon 209 ext 2090.
***ATTENTION SENIORS*** The 2017-18 FAFSA Application is now LIVE!! Make sure to fill out the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov Also, make sure both you and your parent get a FSAID
Permission slips for the Morehead State University fieldtrip are due by the end of this week - October 6. Please return these to the Student Service Center to be able to go on the trip. Other people are on a waiting list.
The Panther Pit, PRP's first campus store, will be open Wednesday, October 4. The store will be open during all three lunches Monday - Friday. We will be selling tickets to the PRP vs. Butler game in the bookstore on Thursday for $5!! They are $7 at the gate. Come shop with us and check out all the great items we have!
Seniors, you must complete a FSA ID to start the FAFSA. Please go to fafsa.gov for info.
If you received an Educational Benefits Form (EBF Form) from your teacher please return it this week. These forms are required of EVERY student. If you don't turn one in, we will keep sending home a form until we receive this form back.
Any Junior with a 3.0 or higher and interested in applying for the Governor's Scholars Program, we will have an interest meeting 7th period on Wednesday 10/4 in the Auditorium.

KYA will be excepting new members until 10-03!!!! Financial Aid papers are due by 9-19. We meet every Thursday after school in room 316. Our conference dates are 11-16 thru 11-18. For details see Mrs. Findley in room 316, Mrs. Thomas in room 320, or Ms. Henry in room 202.

The JV footbal game this week has been canceled and the Froshmore Football game against Butler has been moved to Today at 5:30.

The Kentucky Humane Society needs your help! You have from Monday September 18 through October 2nd to bring in as many supplies as you can to donate to the Humane Society. Bring items such as blankets, beds, wet/dry food, treats, and toys for cats and dogs. Give them to your 7th period teacher. The 7th period class who donates the most supplies will get pizza.
