* Seniors interested in Bellarmine University... Early deadline for application Nov 1.  Check out website. No fee and NO ESSAY !!!

* Attention all students and parents--Do you have an Android phone?  If so, there is an app available that allows you to download a TI-84 Calculator for free!  While you are not allowed to use these on any standardized tests (including ACT and EOC), this can be very useful for homework.  Some teachers may even allow them to be used in class for daily work (but not for tests or quizzes).  The apps name is Wabbit emu.  It can be downloaded on google play.  We suggest that you download the TI 84 C SE version as this is the most recent release by TI--in color!

* Seniors, Please member when applying to colleges, most will require a statement from your counselor.  Please print out the counselor form after completing your application and drop off to me for completion.

* Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana, along with RMHC Global, offer scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
How to Apply: Students may apply online starting October 1, 2014. Graduating high school seniors may apply for one of the four scholarship programs. The four scholarship programs are: RMHC/Scholars, RMHC/Asia, RMHC/African-American Future Achievers, and RMHC/HACER®.
Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award status in May-June 2015.
The deadline to apply for the 2014-2015 academic year is January 20, 2015. Students may also visit this link to apply for this scholarship and for more information:

* Parents please update your current email on parent portal.  We do send info via email to parents.  Please make sure it is an email you check frequently.

* The football homecoming dance is Friday Oct. 31 from 9pm- 12am. The theme is Monster Mash and the cost is $8 at the door. There will be costumes contests and a haunted house!
Any student who has a date that does not attend PRP must sign up their name and their dates name prior to the dance.  There is a sign up sheet out side room 211.  Also, everyone, PRP students and non-PRP dates, must bring a picture ID to be admitted to the dance.

* Trick or Treat at PRP is Thursday Oct. 23 from 6pm-8pm. It is one canned good per child to enter. Please email Mrs. Martin if your club or organization would like to sign up to sponsor a table. Thanks and Happy Halloween!

* Seniors that are interested in visiting the University of Kentucky on the SEE BLUE Minority Recruitment Trip can sign up in the counseling office.  We will leave at approximately 8:00 AM on November 5th and return after school is out.  Students attending the trip that complete an application before Nov 5th online at applyuk.com will have the $50 application fee waived.

* Any BETA Club member who needs service hours, volunteers are needed for Movie Night at Brandies Elementary School on Friday, October 17th from 3-6:30 pm.  Please see Mrs. Walker in Room 105 for more information.

* BETA Club will be meeting next on Thursday, October 16th at 2:30 pm in the seminar room of the tech building.  All current members and new members who wish to join BETA Club for the first time need to plan to attend this meeting.  Anyone with questions, see Mrs. Walker in Room 105.

* The theme for the Butler Football game is Bear Hunt.  Everyone come out dressed in camo for the game!  Remember to dress appropriately.

* Women can help reduce breast cancer risk by choosing to make healthy lifestyle choices to stay well. Weight control and regular physical activity are also important for breast cancer survivors. Healthy lifestyle choices such as maintaining a healthy weight, getting regular exercise, and limiting alcohol intake are important steps to helping reduce your risk of breast cancer.  Please donate to the cause during lunch on Friday or at the PRP v. Butler game Friday night and T-shirts will be on sell for $10.

* Today during lunch, the dance team will be collecting for Breast Cancer Awareness.  T-shirts will also be on sale for $10 each.  Collections will be taken at the PRP v. Butler game tonight.  Help support cancer research and all the survivors of cancer by donating today and wearing PINK to the game tonight!  Thank you.

* If you need a night out and would like to support the NEW RED HOTS dance team at PRP, come to Logan's Roadhouse on
Thursday night between 4 p.m. and close.  20% of proceeds will go to the dance team.  If you need a voucher, ask one of the dancers or pick one up in the Student Service Center.  Thanks in advance!"

* Cheerleaders:  Please bring in 2 bags of candy per cheerleader for the Trick or Treat at PRP by October 20th.  You may drop them off in Mrs. Hawks' room T209.

* Seniors:  October 16 is the Senior Panoramic at 9am.   Shirts for the picture will be on sale Wednesday Afternoon and Thursday morning.  Cost is $5.  Sizes from S-XXL will be available.  Shirts are dark grey.

* Orders for Senior Drape and Tux photos are due to Mr. Braun by Friday October 17. Please don't forget to submit the order form and to chose which pose you would like to have in the yearbook.

* If you did not have your Drape or Tux photo taken by Morgan's you need to get your photo submitted to Mr. Braun by Monday October 20.  If you don't have one in by that point then it is not guaranteed that you will be in the Senior section of the Yearbook.

* LEEP MEMBERS remember to bring in candy for the PRP Community Trick or Treat Night.  We have 10 tables and need lots of candy!!

* All baseball players need to turn in their bag of candy to coach Blaszczyk in room 322 by October 21

* The National Art Honor Society will meet Monday after school in Mrs. Wilhoit’s room.  All members and invitees please attend.  We will participate in “Operation Grateful Nation”.  

* This reminder is for all students who are entering the 2014 PTA Reflections Contest……….Your entries and entry forms are due to Mrs. Wilhoit tomorrow.

* The University of Kentucky is hosting a free UK application workshop in Louisville on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at the Residence Inn (downtown Louisville - 333 E. Market St.) from 6:30-8:30pm . See attached flyer for details!
