*Seniors interested in Bellarmine University... Early deadline for application Nov 1.  Check out website. No fee and NO ESSAY !!!

* Attention all students and parents--Do you have an Android phone?  If so, there is an app available that allows you to download a TI-84 Calculator for free!  While you are not allowed to use these on any standardized tests (including ACT and EOC), this can be very useful for homework.  Some teachers may even allow them to be used in class for daily work (but not for tests or quizzes).  The apps name is Wabbit emu.  It can be downloaded on google play.  We suggest that you download the TI 84 C SE version as this is the most recent release by TI--in color!

* Seniors, Please remember when applying to colleges, most will require a statement from your counselor.  Please print out the counselor form after completing your application and drop off to me for completion.

* Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana, along with RMHC Global, offer scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
How to Apply: Students may apply online starting October 1, 2014. Graduating high school seniors may apply for one of the four scholarship programs. The four scholarship programs are: RMHC/Scholars, RMHC/Asia, RMHC/African-American Future Achievers, and RMHC/HACER®.
Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award status in May-June 2015.
The deadline to apply for the 2014-2015 academic year is January 20, 2015. Students may also visit this link to apply for this scholarship and for more information:

* The football homecoming dance is Friday Oct. 31 from 9pm- 12am. The theme is Monster Mash and the cost is $8 at the door. There will be costumes contests and a haunted house! Any student who has a date that does not attend PRP must sign up their name and their dates name prior to the dance.  There is a sign up sheet out side room 211.  Also, everyone, PRP students and non-PRP dates, must bring a picture ID to be admitted to the dance.

Please remember that sick notes need to be turned in within 3 days of a students return to school after being absent.  The absence will remain UNEXCUSED until the note is turned in.  Notes should include the students first and last name, dates the student was out and the reason for the absence.
Seniors interested in applying to the University of Louisville…  U of L will be at PRP for an on-site application/admission process on November 13th. Minimum requirements are 2.5 GPA and a 20 on ACT. If you plan to meet with an admission counselor on that day, please sign up with Mrs. Wilson by November 7th.  App fee for free and reduced will be waived on November 13th.  Complete application online, print out transcript self- view from parchment and bring your free/reduced verification paper on November 13th.

If you are interested in going to Costa Rica with Mr. Phillip Jennings this July, come see him in the choir room!  Very affordable international trip.

*Seniors- Males of Color**

*The first event will be a Free College Application Event for JCPS High School Senior males of color.  This event will be held Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at the Louisville Urban League [1535 W. Broadway, 40203].  During this event, college bound Jefferson County High School Senior males of color will have the opportunity to apply to schools around the country at no cost. Seniors will be able to apply to each school if they bring 7-10 copies of the following:
·         Students' high school transcript
·         Students' senior year schedule
·         Students' ACT/SAT Scores
