University of Kentucky is hosting two receptions in the Louisville area for admitted seniors. See PRP website for details
Congratulations to Skylar Hutchison, who was honored at last week's Scholastic Art Awards ceremony with a special award. Skylar received the Emerging Artist Award by the Louisville Visual Art Association. This special award was one of only three given regionally, and was in addition to her Gold Key and Silver Key artwork.
Congratulations to PRP's Academic Team for placing 4th at Regional Competition. The following Seniors advanced to State Finals. Gavan VanOver: 4th place Math and 5th place Science Ray Krause: 4th place Science Anakin Montgomery: 5th place Social Studies Jane Burch: 3rd place English Composition PRP competes in one of the toughest regions in the State. Our students compete against students from Manual, St. Francis, Brown, Presentation, DeSales, Holy Cross, Butler and other public schools.
Please help our school become more sustainable. The recycling project has begun in the cafeteria. During lunch, please put your recyclables (paper and plastic) in the cans with the clear plastic bags. Only clear plastic bags can be recycled.

Don't forget: Robotics Club will be meeting after school on Mondays in Room T209 until approximately 4:00pm. This semester we will be learning how to use micro-controllers to process input signals and then return those to outputs. (Example: How does a joystick tell a computer where to move. Driving a remote controlled car. )

Driver's Permit verification requirements: Student must have already turned 16!! Obtain the permit verification form in the Main/SEO office. Parent/Legal Guardian must fill out and sign top section of form and return to Mrs. Hockman in the main office for verification. Please allow 24 hour notice. (Verification requires having less than 9 unexcused absences and failed less than two classes in the preceding semester)
KUNA meeting every Thursday after school in room 306. New members are welcome. KUNA conference is 3-22 thru 3-24. Our Countries are Australia and Madagascar. Get information from Mrs. Findley, Ms. Thomas, or Ms. Henry. Financial aid due by 2/06, Registration due by 2/20. ALL MONEY IS DUE by 2/23.
It's time for the KY Bluegrass Awards! Come to the library to learn how you can win $100.00 in books! You will receive one entry for every book you read (up to ten). See Ms. Reed or Ms. Becky for details. All entries due March 30th at 12 pm.
Senior cap/gown and announcements are being ordered now. There will be a $5 late fee for orders placed after February 1. March 1 is the last day to order for graduation!!
