Just a reminder that we play Butler this Friday in basketball at Valley HS. We should not have any signs, t-shirts, or other material that is inappropriate or offensive to either team. If you do bring these items - they will be confiscated, you will be escorted out of the building, and you will also face disciplinary action when you return to school. If you have any questions or concerns please see Mr. Stinson or another administrator. Let's show the rest of JCPS what makes PRP a special place to go to school and work. Roll Ridge Roll.
Students who signed up for the February 10th ACT, if you have not uploaded your photo to your ACT account, you must do it by Friday, February 2nd. Also you must have a current school ID or Driver's license and your admission ticket with you to be able to test on February 10th.
Student Council will be pre-selling homecoming dance tickets during all three lunches on Thursday Feb. 8 & Friday Feb. 9.Tickets are $8 each and you must have correct change.
The results from the County Academic Championships are in! Here is how PRP did. Interested in traveling to NYC in November of 2018? Plan on attending an interest meeting on February 12 at 7pm in the Auditorium. Mr. Braun will be passing out information and answering questions!
On TUESDAY-FEB 6 tables will be set up in the front lobby for VOTER REGISTRATION. You are eligible to register if you will be 18 by Nov. 2018. To register know your Social Security Number and the political party you wish to register under. The right to VOTE is our most Fundamental right in a democracy!
Tickets for the PRP vs. Butler game will be sold in the Panther Pit Friday, February 2 during all three lunches. Receive a free cow bell with each purchase!! (Limit one per customers. Supplies are limited.)
Applications are ready for the PRPHS Alumni Scholarship and the PRPHS Legacy Scholarship on Ridgetalk.com Make sure that if you are applying for the Legacy scholarship that you download BOTH PARTS of the scholarship application.
Don't forget: Robotics Club will be meeting after school on Mondays in Room T209 until approximately 4:00pm. This semester we will be learning how to use micro-controllers to process input signals and then return those to outputs. (Example: How does a joystick tell a computer where to move. Driving a remote controlled car. )
Anyone interested in entering the 2018 Polar Plunge needs to see Mrs. Cate or Tyler Buster in G2 as soon as possible. Basketball 2018 homecoming candidate packets are now available from your team/club sponsor. The completed packets are due Friday, February 2 to Mrs. Danzinger in room 217 (5th/7th period or before/after school).
Anyone interested in playing tennis needs to see Dr. Graf in the library workroom to pick up all athletic forms. All forms and insurance money must be turned in prior to the first day of practice, Feb 15, weather permitting.

Senior cap/gown and announcements are being ordered now. Balfour will be at PRP on January 19. There will be a $5 late fee for orders placed after February 1. March 1 is the last day to order for graduation!!
It's time for the KY Bluegrass Awards! Come to the library to learn how you can win $100.00 in books! You will receive one entry for every book you read (up to ten). See Ms. Reed or Ms. Becky for details. All entries due March 30th at 12 pm.
KUNA meeting every Thursday after school in room 306. New members are welcome. KUNA conference is 3-22 thru 3-24. Our Countries are Australia and Madagascar. Get information from Mrs. Findley, Ms. Thomas, or Ms. Henry. Financial aid due by 2/06, Registration due by 2/20. ALL MONEY IS DUE by 2/23.
Driver's Permit verification requirements: Student must have already turned 16!! Obtain the permit verification form in the Main/SEO office. Parent/Legal Guardian must fill out and sign top section of form and return to Mrs. Hockman in the main office for verification. Please allow 24 hour notice. (Verification requires having less than 9 unexcused absences and failed less than two classes in the preceding semester)
