Announcements 8/29/17


The Chess Team will have it's first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 6. We will meet right after school in room 314. The meeting will end around 4 pm.
You may now check out books! Remember, you may check out up to two at a time for two weeks at a time. You can still check out if you have overdue fines, but you may not check out if you have an overdue book. All books must be present to be renewed. All co-op students (UPS and Reg) are to report to the auditorium 2nd period for Suicide Training today
The Boys Soccer team improved to 5 and 0 with a 2-1 victory over Atherton last night. Brandon Hardesty tied the game and Isaiah Jones scored a decisive header with 22 seconds left to seal the victory! Next game is Tuesday against Fairdale at PRP.
The baseball meeting for 9th graders scheduled for Tues 7th per has been moved to Wed
This week the Black Hole will be cheering on our Panthers at Eastern with a Black Out! Be at Eastern by 7:15 p.m on Friday. Don't forget your Cow Bells!
Any 9th grader interested information about baseball and fall ball there is a meeting in room 309 Tuesday 8/29 7th period
Boys soccer team defeated Spencer County 4-1 on Saturday. Goal scores were Saladi Husseini, Edoardo Bernabe', Isaiah Jones, and Logan Riedley. Next game is at Atherton Monday night at 7.
ANY 9TH OR 10TH GRADER WANTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRP BASEBALL TEAM AND INTERESTED IN PLAYING FALL BALL NEED TO MEET IN ROOM 309 7TH PERIOD TUESDAY AUGUST 29. THIS INCLUDES ANY 10TH GRADER THAT PLAYED ON LAST YEAR'S TEAM.
Step Team tryouts will be Monday, August 28th, Tuesday, August 29th, and Wednesday, August 30th from 3 until 5. You must attend all three days to be eligible. Tryouts will be in the cafeteria.
Games Club will be meeting in the library on Fridays, from 2:30 until 3:50. For more information, see Mr. Muller in room 238.
Junior and Senior Powder Puff applications (football players and cheerleaders) are available now through Wednesday, August 30. Completed forms and your money is due to your class sponsor at 7:00 am Thursday, August 31. Juniors report to Mrs. Hawks (218). Seniors report to Mrs. Danzinger (217). Spots are limited and will be first come first serve.

On Tuesday August 29th we will be having our mandatory state required suicide training for all students. If there are any questions please see your acadamey counselor.
Please be patient while we are finishing up the library for you! We hope to have everything up and running by the end of next week at the latest. Lunch will be open as usual, just be sure to check in with Ms. Reed each day. Thank you for your patience, and we will announce our official opening soon!
Interested in traveling to Spain, Italy and France in the Summer of 2019? Come to an interest meeting on August 30 at 7pm in room 104 with Mr. Braun. This will be a once in a lifetime event and you definitely don't want to miss out. Costs and itinerary will be discussed at the meeting. See Mr. Braun on Thursday August 31 if you are unable to attend the meeting.
Panther Pride- Formerly Gay Straight Alliance will have an informational meet and greet Wed. 8/30 from 2:30-3:30 in room 108. Snacks will be provided. ALL are welcome to attend.
There will be a KYA interest meeting after school on Thursday August 31st in room 316. New members are welcome. Please stop by and see Mrs. Findley if you are unable to attend. The PRP Lady Panthers Basketball team is looking for managers for 2017-2018. You will receive a Varsity Letter, free apparel, & will contribute and be valued significantly in our program (Organization Skills, Punctuality, Videotaping interest or Experience, Social Media & Website Proficient). Join us for the 5th Quarter at Beechland Baptist Church after every HOME football game. There will be food, games, and fellowship. Come check it out and bring a friend.
PRP will be bring a majorette team shortly if you want to sign up there are pink sign up sheets in the cafeteria. Tryouts will be announced next week.
