Announcements August 31, 2017

There will be an informational meeting for the Environmental Science Club or Earth Defenders Club on Wednesday Sept. 6th. We will be discussing the PRP pollinator garden, school recycling, and field trips.
There are two spots available for the 2017 Senior Trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. October 5 - 9. Cost is $850. Please see Mrs. Danzinger or Mrs. Haley ASAP if interested in attending!!
Anyone interested in joining PRP's Future Problem Solving Team should plan on staying after school on Wednesday, September 6th in Room 308. The meeting will last 30 minutes.

The Boys Soccer team improved to 6 and 0 this season with a 2-1 victory over Fairdale Tuesday night. Goal scorers were Brandon Hardesty and Isaiah Jones. We'd like to thank all of the fans that came out to support us in a tough district match! Saturday the team travels to Lexington to face Bryan Station.
There will be a meeting for all Black Hole members Thursday, August 31st after school in Room 308. The meeting will last from 2:30 until 3:15.
Senior Drape and Tux Make Up Picture Day is September 14. Pictures will be taken in the Auditorium by Appointment. Please see Mr. Braun in room 104 to sign up for an appointment time. There is no sitting fee and proofs will be sent home with students 2-3 weeks after picture day. See Mr. Braun with any questions.
Underclassmen Picture Day will be October 4, 2017. Pictures will be taken during the students English class. More information about purchasing photos will be sent home closer to the date. See Mr. Braun in room 104 with any questions.
Join us for the 5th Quarter at Beechland Baptist Church after every HOME football game. There will be food, games, and fellowship. Come check it out and bring a friend.
The Chess Team will have it's first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 6. We will meet right after school in room 314. The meeting will end around 4 pm.
This week the Black Hole will be cheering on our Panthers at Eastern with a Black Out! Be at Eastern by 7:15 p.m on Friday. Don't forget your Cow Bells!
Games Club will be meeting in the library on Fridays, from 2:30 until 3:50. For more information, see Mr. Muller in room 238.

Interested in traveling to Spain, Italy and France in the Summer of 2019? Come to an interest meeting on August 30 at 7pm in room 104 with Mr. Braun. This will be a once in a lifetime event and you definitely don't want to miss out. Costs and itinerary will be discussed at the meeting. See Mr. Braun on Thursday August 31 if you are unable to attend the meeting.
Panther Pride- Formerly Gay Straight Alliance will have an informational meet and greet Wed. 8/30 from 2:30-3:30 in room 108. Snacks will be provided. ALL are welcome to attend.
There will be a KYA interest meeting after school on Thursday August 31st in room 316. New members are welcome. Please stop by and see Mrs. Findley if you are unable to attend. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Findley in room 316 or Mrs. Thomas in room 320. The KYA conference is Nov 16th thru 18th.
