Last Saturday, members of our Quick Recall Team competed in the State Quiz Bowl Tournament at the University of Kentucky. After ten rounds of competition over eight hours, PRP's team finished as the 11th best team in the State. Attention Boys Soccer players! There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing soccer next fall on Thursday during 7th period in room T209. Please plan to attend if you want to play next year. Come straight to T209. An attendance list will be sent out.
Juniors with above a 2.5 GPA and are interested in going the the College Fair March 23 must have their signed permission slip turned into the Student Service Center (Room 112) no later than FRIDAY MARCH 9th. If you don't turn in a permission slip you will not be allowed to attend.
Congratulations go out to Visual Art student, Mallery Marshall who has won second place in the Governor’s Derby Poster Contest! Mallery will receive a $300.00 scholarship and will attend the Governor’s Mansion and have lunch with Governor and First Lady Bevin this Saturday. Congratulations, Mallery!!
The students in Ms Dunn's Business Management Classes will be taking up collections for their non-profit partners during all lunches Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. This is your chance to donate to local non-profits, so bring you change and find a cause!
This weekend Ja’Naye Flanagan and Kiazja Watterson-Brown competed in KAR, the Kids Artistic Dance Revue. Ja’Naye got 1st place regional solo dance and got a scholarship to compete in Australia in 2019. Kiazja got 8th place regional solo dance. They also did a duet that got FIRST PLACE in the region! Which also got a scholarship to compete in Australia in 2019!
Sophomores and other students planning to take the ACT college entrance exam on Saturday, April 14th, the deadline to sign up for the test is Friday, March 9th. Ms. Lewis rm# 107 and Mr. Bassham rm# 109 are offering Math and English intervention for the 2 weeks prior to the test. See Ms. Lewis in Room 107 to sign up for the test or with other questions room phone #1070. The cost of the test is 46.00 paid to ACT (you must use a credit/debit card since the registration is online).

Driver's Permit verification requirements: Student must have already turned 16!! Obtain the permit verification form in the Main/SEO office. Parent/Legal Guardian must fill out and sign top section of form and return to Mrs. Hockman in the main office for verification. Please allow 24 hour notice. (Verification requires having less than 9 unexcused absences and failed less than two classes in the preceding semester)
