Congratulations to the following Visual Art students for their winning entries in the “Horsing Around With Art” contest, sponsored by the Derby Museum: Ivylee McKean won the Grand Prize!! Rheana Aguayo won 2nd place in the High School Division Austin Wheeler won 3rd place in the High School Division Jackson Penna and Jessalynn Guess won Honorable Mentions in the High School Division Congratulations!!!!
The Higher Purpose Group will meet in T111 on Thursday, January 25th until 3:30.
I would like to CONGRATULATE Noah Daniel, one of our Seniors, who achieved an Eagle Scout Award in the Scouts this weekend. This is the highest level in the organization and he received countless letters and acknowledgements from many government officials as well. It is wonderful that someone is dedicated to such a position to help our citizens, our government and our communities and I am very proud to say that I was his teacher. Deborah Thomas

Basketball 2018 homecoming candidate packets are now available from your team/club sponsor. The completed packets are due Friday, February 2 to Mrs. Danzinger in room 217 (5th/7th period or before/after school).
Would you like to join Future Business Leaders of America and meet other students from our state??? Gain leadership skills and community service hours for scholarships. It is the largest student organization in the US. Come to Room T202 to get more information. Cost is $15 to join. Dues must be paid by Friday, Jan 26 in order to attend the upcoming Regional Conference with other schools.
Anyone interested in playing tennis needs to see Dr. Graf in the library workroom to pick up all athletic forms. All forms and insurance money must be turned in prior to the first day of practice, Feb 15, weather permitting.

Senior cap/gown and announcements are being ordered now. Balfour will be at PRP on January 19. There will be a $5 late fee for orders placed after February 1. March 1 is the last day to order for graduation!!
Driver's Permit verification requirements: Student must have already turned 16!! Obtain the permit verification form in the Main/SEO office. Parent/Legal Guardian must fill out and sign top section of form and return to Mrs. Hockman in the main office for verification. Please allow 24 hour notice. (Verification requires having less than 9 unexcused absences and failed less than two classes in the preceding semester)
