Congratulations to the following Visual Art students for their entries in the Governor’s 2017 Derby Poster Contest!!!! Olivia Nisbet and Jackson Penna were 2 of the 5 finalists in the STATE!!!! They will have lunch at the Governor’s Mansion on Saturday, when the winning entry will be revealed!! Congratulations Olivia and Jackson!!!!
Juniors, you will be taking the Science Field Test on March 15th. It is a required state test that will test your knowledge of a variety of science topics. If you would like to use a calculator on the test please bring one to testing. Your testing locations will be posted in the main and tech building lobbies beginning March 10th.
Kentucky Kingdom is HIRING!!! To be eligible you must be at least 16 for positions, and 18 if you plan to be a lifeguard. Applications can be sent via www.kentuckykingdom.com When filling out your application in the referral section write "School Announcement"
JCTC will be doing onsite admissions in the Library on March 20th. You need to bring with you a photo ID andyour transcript from PARCHMENT.
GIRL POWER for girls ages 13-18 to be held on Saturday, March 11 fro 1-3 at Amazing Grace Community of Faith Church. Lunch will be served. Amazing Grace is located at 8002 Terry Road. Call 396-2500 for more info!!

STUDENTS YOU NEED TO KNOW: If you arrive at school by bus, TARC, car, or walking, you must IMMEDIATELY enter the school. Once you arrive on campus you are not allowed to leave the premises. If you do, this is considered a cut, and you're subject to additional disciplinary measures.
STUDENTS YOU NEED TO KNOW: Any student SUSPENDED from school OR accumulates more than 6 unexcused absences throughout a school year will not be allowed to attend Homecoming Activities, Junior Ring Dance or Senior Prom and activities.
Starting next year seniors will not be allowed to co-op, aide, or peer tutor if they have not meet CCR benchmarks so it is important they do well in March.
