Announcements 5/12/15

Seniors!!
  • Please make sure your Prom Date's form is turned in by the end of the school day on Wednesday May 13. Also, if you need to change your dates name, the last day to do that will be on May 13th as well. See Mr. Braun for any questions
  • Belle Trip permission slips are due April 24th to your 1st period teacher. Remember any senior that is not passing classes or has an eschool class to complete will not be allowed to participate.
  • All seniors must be eligible to graduate before they can attend any senior activities
  • To get a Prom ticket you have to have paid all of your fees, dues, turned in library books or paid fines, and/or any other outstanding debt you may have. This can include but not limited to turning in a uniform or equipment. If you have any questions about this you may see Ms. Salyer prior to the last day to pass out tickets on May 6th.
  • If you need to complete graduation requirements after June 6, 2015, you will need to enroll in Jefferson County High School to complete summer program. Please see dates below for information on Jefferson County High School.

JCHS will not test after May 7, 2015 until late July. All Students who enroll in Jefferson County High School must start at the beginning of each course; (we do not transfer partial grades). Non Graduating Seniors Non-graduating 2015 seniors must attend 5th year senior orientation on one of the following dates and times. Thursday, May 28 @ 6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 2 @ 12:00 pm or 6:00 pm, or Thursday, June 4 @ 12:00 pm.
Any student interested in trying out for the PRP Redhots Dance Team can pick up a packet in the front office. Tryouts are set for May 26th, 27th, and 28th.
Parents and Guardians of seniors As we approach the end of the year, please keep these items in mind for your senior: ***Senior Activities- Senior Belle Trip, Senior Memories Breakfast, Senior Walk, Class Day Practice, Class Day, Graduation Practice and Graduation. *** It is my hope that ALL seniors graduate! Please encourage your senior to attend school and work to complete all requirements.
Interested in being a sound technician for plays, concerts, pep rallies, and other school events? Talk to Mr. Jennings in the choir room.
Congratulations to the following students for their winning entries in the 2015 Kentucky PTA Reflections Contest: Darius Henderson won An Award of Merit in Visual Art in the High School Division Al’Nesha Adkins won an Award of Excellence in Dance Choreography in the Special Artist Division Jayme K. Almon won a Creative Interpretation Award in Visual Art in the Special Artist Division All three of these are “State” awards!! Jayme Almon and Al’Nesha Adkins will advance to the National level!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
SENIOR Expectations for JUNE 5th Graduation Practice: STUDENTS ARE TO ARRIVE AT FREEDOM HALL NO LATER THAN 10:45 PARKING IS FREE THAT DAY AND YOU MUST USE ONE OF THE PASS GATES WE WILL BE TAKING A BUS(OR BUSES) FROM SCHOOL AND LEAVE AT 10:30 YOUR FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP IS YOUR TICKET ON TO THE BUS. DONT LOOSE IT!!!!!!!! STUDENTS WHO ARE DRIVING TO FREEDOM HALL ARE NOT TO ARRIVE AT SCHOOL THAT MORNING TO ""HANGOUT"". IF YOU HAVE OBLIGATIONS TO COMPLETE, YOU CAN DRIVE TO SCHOOL TO ""TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS"". NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO RIDE WITH ANOTHER STUDENT FROM SCHOOL. THAT WILL HAVE TO BE ARRANGE SEPARATELY BY THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND OFF CAMPUS. STUDENTS RIDING THE BUS OVER TO FREEDOM HALL WILL HAVE TO SIGN UP WITH MRS. HUDSON IN THE TECH BUILDING BEFORE JUNE 2ND. STUDENTS COMING TO SCHOOL THAT MORNING WILL HAVE TO REPORT TO THEIR REGULAR CLASSES WITH THEIR ASSIGNED TEACHER. STUDENTS FOUND ROAMING IN THE HALLWAYS WILL JEOPARDIZE THEIR PRIVILEGE OF GOING TO PRACTICE. ALL TEACHERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR STUDENTS UNTIL DEPARTURE.
